Speaker for the Living is a podcast that explores human trafficking, forced labor, debt bondage, and other forms of ‘unfree’ labor. These forms of modern slavery intersect with many areas, including immigration, migration flows, economics, law enforcement, court systems, after-care, and other related topics. Chattel slavery, while officially illegal in almost every country, was legal in most countries 150 years ago. We’ve come a long way, but slavery is still with us. Our goal is to educate and advocate for Protection, Protection, Prosecution, and Partnerships in the fight against all forms of slavery.

Seth Daire and JJ Janflone, graduates of the Josef Korbel School of International Studies at the University of Denver, and alumni of the Human Trafficking Center there, started this podcast in October 2016 and hosted it until September 2019.
