2008 Tax Records Reveal Sasha Obama Made $136 In Allowance Money
WASHINGTON—Sasha Obama testified before the Senate Committee on Finance this week after it was revealed that the second-grader had collected more than $136 in undisclosed allowance payments over the past year.
Sasha, who has been under fire from congressional leaders since her 2008 tax records were made public earlier this month, arrived at the Capitol to address accusations that she received dozens of federal dollars for completing the most basic of household chores.
I don't know. Maybe you can look at this as a poetic justice to tax-and-spend liberals. But given the inherent immorality of double taxation—and taxing allowance is double taxation, as the funds from which the allowance comes have already been taxed (unless, of course, like Kathleen Sebelius, you are an Obama nominee, in which case the tax has not been paid), it may be still immoral to impose such taxation even on those who appear to think tax is the source of all that is good.
As they say, two wrongs don't make a right. Just because liberals are so happy to tax other people for "the greater good" by any means necessary, that doesn't mean we should feel any more justified using the methods of taxation that we condemn on moral grounds (such as tax on allowances, dividends, etc. that constitute clear double tax) on these liberals.
